Today in group, one of the Ladies had written a poem for Dr. J about her leaving. It really hit home to how I felt also. and the room was pretty sniffely afterwards. I asked C if I could post her poem here, and she said yes. So.. here it is:
YOU MADE ME CRY
SHOCK, DISBELIEF,
YOU SAY YOU ARE LEAVING ME?
NO, NOT MY GENTLE, KIND, SAVIOR
YOU WHO BELIEVED IN ME, LISTENED AND ENCOURAGED ME
YOU MADE ME CRY
TIME TO MOVE ON, LET GO OF THE CORD
EMBRACE THE NEW
AM I READY? I MUST BE
BUT I'LL ALWAYS THINK OF YOU
YOU TOUCHED MY HEART AND COMFORTED ME
GO, FLY AWAY TO NEWBIRTH
I'LL BE RIGHT HERE THINKING
YOU MADE ME CRY
